  1. I just got one. 1g ram, 10.1″ Poloroid PMID1000D. Battery lasts about 2 hour continuous operation. Also seems to only keep charge for 24-48 hours when not in use. Charges fast seems like about 1 hour, and operates on ac power.

  2. I got the 10.1 Tablet for $100 on Black Friday. Best $100 ever spent. The USB port and micro USB port feature make data transfer so much easier than Apple. Battery life is about 8 hours of constant use. Besides Wi-Fi, I can plug my internet aircard into the USB port and have internet everywhere without having a data plan. Great value!

        • This is not true. The Polaroid Tablet 10.1 running Android ICS 4.0.4 does not include Google Play. After downloading the apk file, it was able to install, but would not work because the tablet does not include “Google Services”. Internet connection via WiFi is very intermittent.

  3. Help…I bought this tablet for my Dad and am trying to get it all set up before wrapping it. The amazon app keeps freezing and we have to uninstall and reinstall it. Anyone else having this issue?

    • I bought this tablet for my mother. I promptly returned it. It crashes all the time and in some cases, would only allow you to perform a factory reset to get it working again. Stay away and spend your money on something that works. I was fooled too, so don’t feel bad.

  4. I bought one and could not get it to stay hooked up to the Internet at home; nor could we get it to connect at a coffee shop that had WiFi. I even had our Internet provider on the phone for about a half hour helping. Therefore, I took it back. I’ll try another brand.

  5. I got the polaroid 10.1 and had trouble getting it to pick up my wireless internet , cannot get it to charge on regular household ciciut ,I can only get the battery 1/2 way charged from my lap top,and ian having trouble
removing stuff that I don’t want or use . also I downloaded the opera store and android store , but after it finished installing can’t find the products . also downloaded a few free ebooks and when opened , got a message no longer available ? If any one can help Please do

    • try to charge with other charger (of this model only), and check if its charger problem….
if it is not charger problem, try replacing battery
if still the problem persists, go to customer support of manufacturer

  6. Bought the smaller (4″ inch) version a couple of months ago and had same problem regarding connectivity to home WIFI. Had technician on phone for over an hour on two occasions and could not resolve. I use as a small portable music player only and bought a D2 tablet (7″ for about $80 USD) about two weeks later. The latter product works very well. It connects to internet wherever signal is available and has been very reliable. The built in apps are very useful for both entertainment and productivity- would recommend this tablet.

  7. Hi. I wanted to ask about the exact screen size of Polaroid 10.1 inch internet tablet model PMID1000B… I am looking for a screen protector and I need the size of the length and its width. Thank you…

  8. I bought pmid10c modle on black Friday. Browser keeps not responding, and a lot of the radio statîons on downloaded apps do not connect.

  9. I bought the Polaroid 10 tablet. It keeps freezing up. I have to do a hard restart. Is this a common problem with this tablet? Also it seems to be getting very hot could this be the reason it freezes. Only last about 30 min. Before freezing.

  10. This is the worst investment that I have ever made. Nothing works properly on this Polaroid 10.1 tablet. No Apps will download, and when they actually download, I cant use them. I bought it online from Kohls on black friday and I only hope that I can send it back. What a piece of junk.

  11. I am not pleased with my purchase of the tablet. Yes it freezes and amazon does not work. I have downloaded it several times. I paid 149.00 for it. Bad choose i made and took my nook color back just to make this purchase. I have not found and can’t find no support on the internet for this tablet to find out if there is anything that can be satisfying for me to keep it. I have the problem of it running slow or browser stopping. Good Luck to all of us because it is not any of us it is the Tablet not to own or purchase.

  12. This tablet is the worst nightmare ever. I bought this as a gift for my mother, and it refuses to even function on the most basic of levels. It crashes all the time, it is so slow at responding to touches, I wonder if it even was meant to be a touch device, it drops wifi connections regularly, and it’s just downright broken. My brother and I struggled with it to even get it to keep a wifi connection for more than 5 minutes, and after going into the Amazon app store maybe 3 times, the app store wouldn’t even load anymore….even after restarting the device. I should have caught on to the total lack of quality when I found out that Google doesn’t support this device for Google Play. Big red flag. The next day, my mother tried to put something in the calendar, and it froze so bad that my brother couldn’t even get it to respond again. I understand that this review is a big jumbled mess of complaints, but that’s all I have for this thing. It’s too bad, because it actually had a good camera for a cheap tablet. Don’t let that fool you, though. Stay far away and buy something that actually works. I guess you get what you pay for; it’s too bad that ~$170 can’t get you a piece of electronics that actually works like it says it should these days.

  13. Piece of crap! Screen froze. Won’t unfreeze. Tried firmware download and din’t work. Customer service is a nightmare. Some guy from India. Taking it back as soon as possible.

  14. As a gift I recieved the 10.1 inch tablet from Poloroid. I am really not having many issues with it except for….I downloaded the Words with Friends app and for some reason the playing board of squares and letters are too small. Unable to tell what the letters/words are. Everything else in the app is sized correctly except for the tiles…Any ideas why or how/if this can be corrected.

  15. First off – I am a IT/System Admin of 15+ years. I root and jailbreak many phones and tablets. Setup my own ROM on Android Devices. Do alot of things which most of you would not even think possible. I Setup Enterprise LAN/WAN etc., as well. So to say, I am not a rookie. I bought the Polaroid 10.1 Tablet thinking “Wow, what a great deal!”. My one main issue is getting this Tablet to connect to my Wifi for my kids and mainly my 14yrs old daughter. I have emailed Polaroid and did everything except call them up and give them a peice of my mind. I have even gone through every single setting on my home router and switched from every combination of WIFI setting I can think off or would allow me. Nothing works. What ever hardware Polaroid used (Broadcom, Realtek, Wifi Chips) for the Wifi Chip and or thier firmware programing of this chip along with Android 4.04 is ludicrous and very poorly done. Stay away from this piece of junk. Bad part on my end, I lost the receipt and it is killing me. The only thing I can think about doing is load games via SD card and use it as a gaming tool for my younger kids. DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT. We should all start a class action lawsuit but I am not a lawyer. I want my money back or Polaroid should fix this or they should replace this tablet – PERIOD. Enuff ranting.
